Insurance conduct and culture: Fire and general insurers update

This report summarises findings from our evaluation of New Zealand fire and general insurers’ responses to the Life Insurer Conduct and Culture review undertaken by the Financial Markets Authority and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand in 2019.

It is important that insurers consider how they comply with FMA expectations for good conduct and culture as they prepare for the introduction of the new conduct licensing regime set out in the Financial Markets (Conduct of Institutions) Amendment Bill.
