FMA are concerned that Adler Acquisitions and Financial Services Inspectorate / Finansiell Tjänster Inspektorat may be involved in a scam.
We received a complaint from a New Zealand resident who invested in shares with Adler Acquisition. Adler Acquisition issued the complainant a letter from Financial Services Inspectorate / Finansiell Tjänster Inspektorat, who purport to be a regulatory authority in Sweden, requesting the complainant make a payment to the regulator before the investor’s money can be released.
We note that the Swedish Finansinpektionen has published a warning about Adler Acquisitions and Financial Services Inspectorate / Finansiell Tjänster Inspektorat advising the general public that that Adler Acquisitions appears to be an advance fee fraud and that Adler Acquisitions refers to the fake regulator Financial Services Inspectorate / Finansiell Tjänster Inspektorat to increase its credibility.
