Coin Options Trade

FMA has received a complaint from a New Zealand resident regarding Coin Options Trade (coinoptionstrade.com). They advised that Coin Options Trade was offering attractive returns on crypto currency investments. The individual lost money in the transaction.

We are concerned that Coin Options Trade is operating in breach of the New Zealand financial markets legislation and is neither registered as a Financial Advice Provider nor holds a derivative issuer licence in New Zealand. A licence is required to provide Contract for Differences trading services to New Zealand residents.

FMA recommends exercising caution ahead of dealing with this entity.
