Financial Markets Conduct (Market Index) Exemption Notice 2023

Summary: This exemption provides relief to managed investment scheme (MIS) managers with funds that invest, in whole or in part, in assets that do not have an appropriate market index (relevant assets) and instead allows managers to take alternative approaches. Alternative approaches include using a peer group index or a composite index, as defined in the exemption notice. If none of the alternative approaches available under the exemption notice can be used, then a complete exemption from the market index requirement is available in respect of those assets.
