Phoney SBS Bank offers fake term-deposit investment

FMA are aware of a fake term-deposit investment opportunity offered in the name of SBS Bank.  Investors received offers by email purporting to be from senior staff members of the bank. SBS Bank has confirmed that they are not associated with the offer or any email address using the domains of “sbs-am.com” or “sbs-clients.com”.  

We have seen a number of similar fake investment offers and published warnings about them recently.
