The FMA recommends caution when dealing with Christof Melchizedek, the Lumiere Project and the Conscious Crypto Circle.
The FMA has received multiple complaints from overseas persons regarding the NZ-based Christof Melchizedek offering investment opportunities via the Conscious Crypto Circle for an unincorporated and unregistered business, the Lumiere Project.
Christof Melchizedek promoted an investment opportunity to purchase shares which he would hold on behalf of investors. The returns he promised appear to be unrealistic.
The Financial Service Providers (Registration and Disputes Resolution) Act 2008 requires an entity that is carrying out the business of providing financial services in New Zealand to be registered and the entity name to be listed on the Financial Service Providers Register.
