Retail investor platforms research

We commissioned this research to better understand the behaviours and intentions of the large number of people who have started using online investing platforms over the past couple of years.

The objectives were to learn more about:

  • The type and profile of investors in retail platforms.
  • Their risks and behaviour within these platforms.
  • The motivations and influences that brought them to where they are.

We will use the findings to help prioritise future activities and messages to reach new investors.

Kantar Public conducted the research of almost 2000 people using online investing platforms in June 2021.
