Pacific Eagle Capital (PEC)

This is the first infringement notice of its type under the Financial Markets Conduct Act and is related to Pacific Eagle’s failure to comply with its obligations to file financial statements.

26 October 2018 - Infringement fee paid. PEC paid the infringement fee required by the original infringement notice.

 

25 October 2018 - The FMA issued a reminder notice to PEC because it had not paid the infringement fee by the due date.

 

26 September 2018 - The FMA has issued an infringement notice to Pacific Eagle Capital (PEC) for failing to file financial statements by its due date. It requires PEC to pay an infringement fee of $7,500. Related media release: FMA issues infringement notice to Pacific Eagle Capital.

PEC was required to file financial statements for the balance date of 31 March 2018 by the 31st July 2018.

 

Warning disclosure order - The FMA issued warning about General Equity. Pacific Eagle Capital (PEC) was previously known as General Equity Building Society and General Equity.

 

February 2016 - PEC was removed from the New Zealand Financial Services Providers Register at the direction of the FMA.

 

30 September 2014 - It was previously known as General Equity Building Society and General Equity.

The FMA has issued a warning about General Equity. The warning recommends that the public exercises extreme caution when dealing with General Equity.

FMA has ordered General Equity to include the FMA warning prominently on the main page of any website operated by, or on behalf of, General Equity under section 49 Financial Markets Authority Act 2011.
