FMA statement on the death of Rob Cameron

The FMA would like to express its condolences to the family and colleagues of Rob Cameron, who died late last week.

Rob played a significant role in New Zealand’s capital markets over a long period and led the capital markets taskforce whose recommendations led to the passing of the Financial Markets Conduct Act and the establishment of the Financial Markets Authority (FMA).

Rob remained an influential figure in financial services and willingly gave his time to the FMA and its board on a number of occasions.

The FMA would like to acknowledge his leading role in encouraging and developing capital markets in New Zealand.

Rob Everett, FMA Chief Executive

Murray Jack, Chairman of the FMA Board
